This publication presents a set of SES, indicators and assessment methods at the local (farm) scale, which were selected and validated by a team of experts on the subject and with experience from Brazil and Argentina. The classification of ecosystem services adopted was that of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (2003). The aim was to standardize and facilitate their application, also taking into account their low cost and ease of application. The methods are generally similar among Brazil and Argentina, however they are presented separately where differences occur. |
